Hillcrest / SIM Reunion 2012: Be There!

It is that time again, folks.

The Hillcrest / SIM 2012 Reunion is scheduled to be held on July 5-8 in Dallas, Texas.  There is an official web site for the reunion, although it doesn’t have much information yet other than the dates.  However you can sign up at the web site to get on an email list and get information as it becomes available.  This site usually posts a running list of attendees as they register, so its a great way to check in and see if your friends and classmates will be there.

If you are on Facebook you can visit Hillcrest Reunion 2012.  There is a conversation going on there, and you can see some who will be attending.

Stay tuned for more information posted here as it becomes available.

Are you planning to go to the reunion?

Egbe Hospital Revitalization Project

Have you ever wondered what Betsie Campion Smith does in her free time?  Well, for starters she is a Project Coordinator for the Egbe Hospital Revitalization Project.  The ECWA Hospital Egbe is a 121 bed facility that serves a large population in Kogi State, Nigeria.  Their motto is ‘CHRIST HEALS’, and the hospital aims to serve God by caring for patients in a way that demonstrates Christ’s compassion and love.  The hospital celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2001, and at that time they began to think about what would be needed to revitalize the hospital in order to meet the needs of the community for the future.  The Revitalization Project was born, with its mission to revitalize the hospital by placing staff, equipment and systems in harmony with ministry and business principles in place so that the hospital can continue to be a reputable Christian hospital spreading the gospel and providing superior medical care and training to the region.

Visit the Egbe Hospital web site.  The project is under the umbrella of SIM, and they are in charge of hiring necessary personnel and distributing donations.  The web site gives information about how to donate, if you are interested.
